Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Ethiopia has once again been recognised as a Platinum Level Taxpayer for its consistent tax compliance and contribution to national growth.
The company was awarded this recognition by H.E Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed at an event hosted by the Ministry of Revenue.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that CCBA in Ethiopia has received the award, and the company also received special acknowledgment as among the top-30 platinum taxpayers in the country to have held this status for four years in a row.
“At CCBA, we are committed to operating with integrity, creating shared value for our business and the communities we call home,” said Managing Director Melky Abebe.
“In this way, we strengthen our social licence to operate, ensuring our business creates lasting positive impact. Our aim is to lead in environmental, social, governance and business standards, driving sustainable growth and societal progress and contributing to a better shared future.
“Strong governance and ethics, from conduct to cybersecurity and finance, guide our approach to doing business the right way,” Abebe said.
“We strictly follow policies, legal requirements, and industry standards — avoiding shortcuts that could compromise our integrity.”
