University graduates in Ethiopia sharpen skills with support from Coca-Cola Beverages Africa

Ambo City, Ethiopia – A group of 116 graduate students from Ambo University has enhanced their entrepreneurial skills through a training programme called Project Elevate, supported by Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Ethiopia. 

The course, conducted in two phases, was delivered by professional trainers and experts from CCBA in Ethiopia, along with university professors at the Ambo University campus.  

“We are committed to operating with integrity, creating shared value for our business and the communities we call home,” said Managing Director at CCBA in Ethiopia, Melkamu Abebe. 

“We strengthen our social license to operate by ensuring our business creates a lasting positive impact.” 

Dr Solomon Alemu Tolla, Assistant Professor in Social Work and Social Development at Ambo University, said: “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to CCBA for organising such a timely training for our graduates. “The training has been highly valuable in equipping graduates with essential skills to enhance their employability. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with CCBA to further support the professional development of our graduates and beyond.” 

CCBA in Ethiopia is also known for its prestigious Graduate-in-Training (GIT) programme, which has been nurturing new talent by recruiting graduates from universities across the country for over 15 years. This year, the company welcomed 34 exceptional graduates into the GIT programme, a comprehensive 12- to 18-month training initiative designed to equip participants with the skills and experience needed to excel in their careers.
