Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd proudly hosted the Minister of Industry and Trade, Dr Seleman Said Jafo (MP) at its Dar es Salaam facility. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the company’s commitment to doing business the right way – guided by integrity, shared value creation, and a deep respect for the communities it serves.
The Minister’s visit included a plant tour and strategic boardroom session, where Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd, a company in the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) group, shared insights into its operations, contributions to the Tanzanian economy, and its role in driving shared value creation.
This engagement reflects CCBA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its social license to operate. By leading in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, CCBA aims to create lasting positive impact and contribute to a better shared future.
“We believe that by following our values, we can drive sustainable growth and societal progress,” said David Chait, General Manager for Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd.
“People are at the centre of everything we do, from our employees to those who touch our business to the communities we call home. Community involvement allows us to bring positive, measurable change to both the communities in which we operate and to our business,” said Chait.
“Our aspiration is not only to reflect the diversity of the communities where we operate but also to lead and advocate for a better shared future. We aim to create access to equal opportunities and become more inclusive. We embrace differences in backgrounds and support economic inclusion for under-served communities, especially women, youth and people with disabilities.”
CCBA looks forward to continuing to build meaningful partnerships that support inclusive economic development and responsible business practices.
