Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Mozambique recognised as Elite Employer for fifth consecutive year

Maputo, Mozambique – CocaCola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Mozambique has been named among the Top 10 employers for the third consecutive year in the Elite Employer 2026 programme, while also achieving its fifth consecutive Elite Employer certification – underscoring its sustained commitment to building a high-performing, people-centred organisation.

The recognition, awarded by Tempus Global Group – the local representative of Alexander Forbes in Mozambique – reflects CCBA’s continued focus on delivering a positive and impactful employee experience.

The Elite Employer certification is based on measurable data and assesses key pillars of the employee experience, including Compensation and Benefits, Career Development, Work Environment, Organisational Culture, and Work-Life Balance.

Out of 250 organisations participating in the Elite Employer 2026 programme, CCBA’s achievement highlights its consistent ability to foster a strong workplace culture and put its people at the heart of its business.

“This recognition reaffirms our commitment to putting people at the centre of our strategy. By investing in our employees, we are investing in the long-term sustainability and future of the organisation,” said Stella Matiquite, People & Culture Director of CCBA in Mozambique.

“This recognition is a testament to the incredible talent we have and the culture we are building together. We are committed to creating an environment where people feel valued, inspired, and empowered to make a real impact.”  Matiquite emphasised that this commitment is grounded in CCBA’s “Make it Yours” philosophy that creates an environment for employees to build their careers.

“We don’t hand people a blueprint. Instead, we provide the tools and the opportunities, and challenge people to ‘Make it yours.’ It’s about empowering them to shape their careers, contribute to build a bold future, and made a positive difference in their communities,” she said.

This philosophy is brought to life through various initiatives, such as the Ascend Leaders in Training Programme, an 18-month, Africa-wide programme offering graduates a structured pathway into leadership roles, and the CCBA EDGE programme for senior leaders, which focuses on world-class leadership development.

These initiatives provide employees with the tools and opportunities to grow, both personally and professionally.

CCBA’s continued recognition as a Top 10 Elite Employer strengthens its ability to attract, develop and retain high-performing talent, further reinforcing its reputation as an employer of choice in an increasingly competitive labour market.
