Guided by our vision – refresh Africa and create shared value – our aim mission is to be the leading and most admired company in Africa, and we have a clear strategy to achieve this built on five growth drivers:

  1. Win in the market and accelerate topline growth
  2. Partner with customers for growth through customer-centricity obsession
  3. Unleash talent, drive impact by being an employer of choice
  4. Do business the right way to strengthen our corporate reputation
  5. Build enduring economic value to create shareholder value

At CCBA, we believe everyone contributes to growing our business – either by selling directly or by supporting those who do. We aim to make it easy for customers, partners and suppliers to work with us by ensuring smooth, efficient processes across the entire value chain.

We also focus on doing things right, every single day. That means delivering our products reliably, on time, and at the lowest possible cost – while making sure everyone involved benefits. Strong execution is key to our success. And through close, strategic partnerships with our customers, we plan and grow together for long-term success.

Our key sustainability areas are:

  • Helping To Reduce Packaging Waste: We aim to help ensure the collection of 70% to 75% of the equivalent number of bottles and cans we introduce into the market annually by 2035.

  • Prioritising Water Replenishment: Since 2015, the Coca-Cola system has returned more than 100% of the water used in our finished products globally, on an aggregate level, to nature and communities. Moving forward, we will also seek to return 100% of the total water used in each of our more than 200 high-risk locations across the Coca-Cola system by 2035.
  • Reducing Emissions: The Coca-Cola Company has set a target to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions in line with a 1.5°C trajectory by 2035, from a 2019 baseline.

We act in ways that aim to help improve people’s lives, from our employees to those who touch our business to the many communities we call home.

Our business is centred on a local approach – we produce locally, distribute locally and where possible, source locally.

A better shared future

Our aspiration is not only to reflect the diversity of the communities where we operate but also to lead and advocate for a better shared future.

This includes community engagement,
supporting food vendors, strengthening health systems by leveraging our distribution expertise and system network, supporting local entrepreneurs and training packaging collectors.
