The Coca-Cola system in Namibia, has a 70-year track record providing Coca-Cola brands tailored for consumer preferences.

In 2012, Namibia Beverages became a private company called Coca-Cola Namibia Bottling Company (CCNBC) with the same original 1995 share partners, Paradise Beverages and Namibia Development Corporation (previously known as Amcom).  In 2016, Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) commenced operations and Coca-Cola Namibia Bottling Company became a subsidiary of CCBA.

CCNBC has bottling plants in both Windhoek and in Oshakati, and depots in Keetmanshoop, Otjiwarongo and the coastal town of Walvis Bay. 

In 2024, the business launched a new PET production line, boosting capacity by 30% and announced the opening of a plastic flaking plant in partnership with Plastic Packaging.

Namibia is under the leadership of Pottie De Bruyn.

Matthew Welz

General Counsel and Company Secretary, CCBA

Matthew joined us from the Clicks Group, a JSE Top-40 company, where he has been the Head of Legal and Company Secretary since 2016. In this role Matthew successfully navigated a highly regulated environment, including overseeing compliance with company laws and the JSE Listings Requirements. As company secretary, he managed governance at Board level as well as being the Chairman’s chief of staff. Prior to this, Matthew was a Legal Manager with Anglo American, a major multinational diversified mining group, which includes three companies listed on the JSE, with extensive operations across Southern Africa.
