Coca-Cola Christmas caravan lights up Zambian festive spirit

Lusaka, Zambia – Zambians can look forward to a travelling celebration of lights, local music, festive cheer and the joy of sharing this festive season as Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia (CCBZ) brings the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan to communities in key cities.

Featuring two seven-ton trucks, a minivan, dynamic lighting and a sound system delivering uninterrupted music and entertainment along the route, the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan will connect with the emotional rhythm of a Zambian Christmas – from the food, the laughter, and the music – to the spirit of sharing.

The caravan will also feature Santa and his sleigh, bringing the spirit of Christmas to life for children and families along the route.

Members of the public will enjoy Coca-Cola sampling and receive Christmas gifts inspired by a true Zambian festive table.

The caravan kicked off on Wednesday, 3 December with an internal launch at the Coca-Cola plant in Lusaka, and will roll out through communities across Lusaka, Ndola, and Kitwe, building excitement all the way to Christmas week.

Live MCs will keep the energy high, entertaining and guiding the crowd through the experience, while a DJ will provide non-stop music and a lively soundtrack.

From 6 to 27 December, activities will kick off at Manda Hill, Lewanika, Arcades and East Park Mall across Lusaka, and ECL Mall and Kafubu Mall in Kitwe and Ndola, respectively.

The setup will feature Instagram-worthy “Coca-Cola Christmas” corners and a Coca-Cola station, offering consumers exciting activities during the busy festive period. Each mall on the route will be linked to the Christmas Caravan pitstops.

Consumers who buy a case or crate of selected Coca-Cola products during these activities will stand a chance to win Christmas hampers or branded merchandise.

CCBZ, a company in the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa group, will also tap into Zambians’ inner Santa by setting up gift donation stations at caravan stops, malls, and retail outlets, where members of the public can donate toys, clothes and blankets.

“We want to tell a story that feels authentically Zambian yet unmistakably Coca-Cola,” said CCBZ Managing Director, Josphat Mwangi.

“This is a story rooted in togetherness, family, and kindness, celebrating Zambia’s vibrant, warm, and communal culture and festive spirit.

“It is a reminder that Coca-Cola is the go-to drink for moments of joy and togetherness, that completes every meal, refreshes every break, and amplifies every shared experience,” said Mwangi.
