CCBU Launches “Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan” to Share Festive Joy Across Uganda

Kampala, Uganda  – December in Uganda is a season of warmth and togetherness. Families begin their journeys back home to the villages, churches fill with Christmas carols, and communities prepare for days of shared meals, laughter, and celebration. For many Ugandans, Christmas is a season of reunion, generosity, and gratitude.

Across the country, the festive mood is reflected in simple but meaningful ways: neighbours sharing food, friends gathering after long months apart, and homes opening their doors to welcome loved ones. It is a season that brings people closer and reminds everyone of the joy found in togetherness.

About the Caravan

It is within this cherished national tradition that Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) today officially launches its nationwide Christmas campaign, “Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan,” starting 3 December 2025.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan will travel across the country throughout the festive season, bringing music, entertainment, refreshments, and friendly community celebrations to towns and neighbourhoods nationwide. Each stop is designed to reflect life’s simple joys that define a Ugandan Christmas.

What to Expect

Through this campaign, CCBU is taking the Christmas experience beyond the usual spaces and bringing it directly to the people. The goal is to create moments of real magic where families, friends, and neighbours can pause, celebrate together, and share the happiness of the season.

Speaking at the launch, Emmy Hashakimana, the Managing Director of CCBU, a company in the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa group, shared the company’s intentions behind the initiative, “Christmas is a special time for Ugandans. It is about being together, being thankful, and sharing moments that matter. With Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan, we will be part of those real magic moments by bringing joy and refreshment closer to our consumers wherever they are.”

Each caravan stop will feature live local entertainment, interactive activities, family-friendly games, and opportunities for communities to enjoy festive, magical moments together. The experience is designed to share the real magic of Christmas, through instant giveaways of food, like Matooke, live chicken, and merchandise like T-shirts, to drive real connection with our consumers.

Kirunda Magoola, Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability at CCBU, described the campaign as a way of appreciating consumers for their continued support. “Our consumers have walked with us throughout the year, and this season gives us the chance to celebrate with them. Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan is our way of saying thank you and sharing in the joy of the festive season together.”

 Why Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan Matters

Along the route, the caravan will activate key towns with themed festive setups, product engagements, giveaways, and shared experiences designed to bring smiles and lasting memories to both young and old.

Beyond the entertainment, the initiative also supports the spirit of togetherness that defines the season, while contributing to the vibrancy and economic activity that comes with Christmas celebrations across the country.

As Uganda enters the heart of the festive season, CCBU invites families, friends, and communities to welcome the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan, share in the celebrations, and enjoy a Christmas filled with warmth, connection, and simple, happy moments through the Real Magic experience.
