Windhoek, Namibia – Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Namibia is celebrating a significant industry milestone after winning the Most Innovative Marketing Campaign award for its iconic ‘Share a Coke’ campaign at the inaugural Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) Branding and Marketing Excellence Awards, held on 10 April.
The 2025 ‘Share a Coke’ campaign captured attention for how it invited a new generation to experience the magic of personalised connection. The campaign focused on the importance of friendship and creating lasting memories through shared, real-life moments, and was supported by nationwide activations where consumers could get their own one-of-a-kind bottle with their name on it.
“We are incredibly proud of our team for earning this recognition for the ‘Share a Coke’ campaign,” said Maguire Mulder, Commercial Director for Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Namibia.” Our consumer-centric portfolio and robust strategies ensure relevance, reach and resonance. By executing the campaign, we were able to remind people that memories happen when we come together and experience the real magic of human connection; those spontaneous moments of laughter, stories, and genuine connection, shared over a Coca-Cola can, make life so special.”
“To be recognised at the very first MTC Branding and Marketing Excellence Awards makes this achievement even more meaningful for us,” Mulder added.
“Behind every one of our drinks, there is a collective effort involving the local community, employees, partners, suppliers, local business, and more. This award recognises not only a powerful campaign but the strong, longstanding relationships the company has cultivated within Namibia,” said Mulder.
